Whatta day...
I find it interesting that when I have an entry about anything other than my boring daily life, I get no comments. Why is that?
Today the saga of the police and my 7 year old continued...
He got in trouble (and got a rare spanking)with his dad this morning by painting up stuff in the bathroom with fingernail polish. Later, he wandered off, and was found by some people a couple of blocks away. He told them he didn't want to go home because his dad hit him. They called the police. I was at work. Luckily, my brother in law the under-sheriff was there, and my sister picked up my son, and they kept him at their house til this evening so that my BIL could talk to him about what really happened.Kept it "unofficial" that way. He decided that my son was just angry about getting in trouble, and brought him home this evening. *sigh* This kid is going to be the death of me yet!!
I had the chance to go with Andy today, but had to work. I don't have to work tomorrow, maybe I can go with him tomorrow. I'll call him in the morning, if he doesn't call me first.
Both computers went down at work today, with a store full of customers of course. Our registers are touch screen computers. The credit card system was down for quite a while, so we had to do credit cards the old fashioned way with the "knuckle buster". As many as we go through, that was a big problem!
You know, our gas in lower than many places in the country, and I am sooo tired of people coming in and bitching me or the other clerks out for the price of gas... Do they think we have control over the world oil market??!?!?! Geez...

They just want to share the pain and Bush won't listen.
One of the reasons I read blogs is to see life through other people's eyes. So your "boring daily life" is of interest to me. Even though I read all of you postings, (your blog is one of the ten I have setup on RSS) only some postings prompt me to leave a comment. Your last post about Shooter Jennings' Band, I could not relate to as I don't listen to modern Country Music. My music taste runs to Folk, Rock-n-Roll, some jazz and the old time Country, Western, Hillbilly and Bluegrass. Not a bad post just not of interest to me. It was nice to get an idea of what Andy looks like but I'm not sure how to comment about that. Oh I know, how about posting a picture of a Country Music singer that looks a bit like you?
One way to get more readers and comments, is to read and leave comments on other blogs. However, that does takes a lot of time from your daily life. Another way to get more comments is to ask questions of your readers. That is what moxie over at http://sexandmoxie.blogspot.com/ does a lot and you did at the first of this posting.
Sunsetman - I didn't just mean this post, I meant all the posts that are not about me. There is no one that looks like me, thankfully.
I must think differently than anyone, but listing words to a song (to me) doesn't register in my head as "country", or "rock"... Words are words, no matter what kind of music you put behind them. Guess thats just me. Won't happen again.
I did not mean to suggest that you not post the words to the songs you like. Remember its your blog and you don't and shouldn't post to please me or any one else.
For me to understand the emotion that a song invokes, I must also hear the music and well as read the words. As I have not heard the song its hard for me to understand the feelings of your post. My bad not yours. A lot of bloggers post the words of songs that have special meaning to them. I usually don't "get" them either.
One the songs that tears at my heart is Greensleeves - an old English song in a minor key. I never had a relationship that this song would apply to. It just grabs me. I know of nobody else who feels that-a-way about this song. Oh well.
